Company Scenario :

This company is the No.1 cereal producer worldwide and a leading producer of convenience foods with 2008 sales revenue of nearly billion. This company began in Michigan in 1906.

 Responsibilities: 

In essence, this role should lead, organize and control the selling and/or distribution network activity for specific key account in China market through effective relationship-building with this key account and negotiation of customer contracts in accordance with overall company sales strategy. The break down includes:
1) Establishing and executing sales plans and strategies in line with broad area marketing and sales guidelines and for interpreting local market and competitive intelligence to inform local and area sales strategies.
2) Leads, develops and implements key account commercial policies, account strategic plan, account annual operating plan, in accordance with company & brand marketing and sales strategy.
3) Negotiating and implementing key account trading terms, customer agreement, promotion plans, selling activities etc. in line with overall commercial policy and responsible for key account P&L.

 Top 3 Requirements: 

In essence, the ideal candidate should have more than 3 years of key account management and sales related experience with a consumer packaged goods company. Otherwise, he/she also should:
1) Be familiar and have a solid relation with specific Key Account.
2) Have strong sales planning, operations and organization skills.
3) Have In-depth knowledge of the market, customer management, food/confectionery and consumer products market.

 Special Requirements: 

1) Extensive experience in snacks/confectionery/biscuit category with multi-national companies. Some marketing experience will be an advantage.
2) Excellent interpersonal skills and networking.
3) Pro-active and creative in getting things done.
